Your aims

Would you like to improve your oral level by investing two or three months in following a language course, once or twice a week? Then our Progressive modules are just the job!

Teaching approach

In order to progress in a continuous and regular way, you need a learning approach based essentially on the acquisition of oral language skills to be able to communicate in your everyday life situations (work, social activities, ...).

Our learning approach in four steps:

1. A compulsory test to place you in a group of your level

We need to estimate your level before the beginning of your course. This will take one of the three following forms:

  • If you have no notions in French, we will automatically place you in a beginners group.
  • If you already have some knowledge of French, no matter how limited, we will ask you to take an online placement test.
  • If you re-register for a further course after your first session at CLL, we will automatically place you in a group corresponding to your level and you will not need to re-take the placement test.

2. A learning programme adapted to your needs

To ensure that you will be able to communicate with efficiency and confidence in your life situations, we offer you:

  • A method favouring listening and speaking skills which optimizes interaction among the participants.
  • An approach with the spotlight on communications.
  • Topics adapted to the needs and interests of each participant.
  • A convivial environment to put you at ease so you will no longer be afraid to use the language in real life.

3. A final evaluation accompanied by tips for continued progression

A final evaluation in the form of a standardized CLL test is organized at the end of each CEFR sub-level to validate the acquisition of the skills covered during the course. During the last 2 hours of class, you will have an individual exchange with your trainers regarding your level achievement and tips to help you continue to progress.

4. Free e-learning lessons

To help you go even further with your progress, we offer you unlimited access for the duration of 1 month to our complete learning platform Here you will find thousands of hours of online French lessons.
