Beginners (A1)

This is really about discovering the language, its sounds, and learning some very simple sentences.

At the end of the level, you will be able to: talk about yourself and your immediate environment and, for example: introduce yourself and someone else (name, age, nationality, home, etc.);

answer simple questions about yourself; fill in a simple form; write a postcard, etc.

Progressing (A2)

Imagine yourself completely immersed in a country: if you have reached this level, you will be able to survive without any problems! Eat, sleep, get around and even have some simple conversations with native speakers!

At the end of the level, you will be able to: describe your past, present and future environment and, for example: describe your family, your work, your living conditions, your tastes, your past and present activities; order in a restaurant, go shopping; accept or refuse an invitation; use public transport, ask for directions, describe an itinerary; describe people, animals, everyday objects; give a short and simple description of events, identify the main element of TV news, etc.

Going deeper (B1)

You have passed a threshold: you can have sustained conversations, give your opinion.

At the end of the level, you will be able to: follow the main points of a discussion on concrete topics;

continue a conversation or discussion; give and ask for an opinion; express a personal opinion on a film, a book, an article, etc.; recount an event; explain a project, an idea, etc. in simple terms; understand the main points of a news article; express your feelings; ask to rephrase.

Confirm (B2)

That's it! After all this effort, you are finally at ease with the language. You understand all conversations, can attend and speak at a conference, take part in business meetings. You express yourself with ease, naturally and efficiently.

At the end of the level, you will be able to: watch a film in v.o. without subtitles and understand its meaning;

read a news article; defend your opinions, put forward hypotheses; write a report, an essay; construct a logical argument; make a presentation; read a short contemporary prose text.
