TOEIC · TOEFL · TEF · CNaVT · Travaillerpour

Our 8-hour preparation modules (spread over two Saturday mornings) effectively prepare you for the TOEIC (EN), TOEFL (EN), TEF (FR), CNaVT (NL) and "Travaillerpour" (formerly "Selor") exams.

And for greater convenience, you can sit your exam directly at CLL Brussels, as part of our Language Examination Centre (except Travaillerpour).

How long does it take to progress one level?

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) estimates on average 120 hours as the time needed to progress a full level, for example from A2 to B1. This estimate is an average established for standard training setups: large groups, a programme fixed in advance and no continuity between sessions.

With the CLL system, we estimate this time at around 90 hours, or 3 sessions of 30 hours.

CLL system
90 h

-25% time thanks to 3 sessions of 30 hours

This 25% gain is explained by three concrete factors

01

Groups of 5 to 9 people

More actual speaking time for you, personalised attention from the teacher, and targeted corrections in real time. Language acquisition research shows that a learner in a small group speaks up to 4 times more than in a large group.

02

Content aligned with your needs

Our courses are structured according to the CEFR but adapted to your personal goals from the very first session. Every hour works on situations you'll actually experience: stronger motivation, faster retention, immediately usable skills.

L-campus© & the 'Linguistic Butler'

Research on the spacing effect shows that short, regular reviews between sessions are far more effective than the same amount of work concentrated all at once. The "Linguistic Butler" answers all your questions between courses, removing the blockers that slow down independent practice.

Session 1 · 30 hLevel N → N+1
Session 2 · 30 hLevel N+1 → N+2
Session 3 · 30 h
= 1 CEFR level reached

Measurable and certified — your progress is assessed at the end of every 30-hour session and attested by a CLL certificate recognised in professional and academic circles. These estimates assume regular attendance and personal work between sessions; they vary depending on the language and its proximity to your native language.
